Hash Trash, Run #70

Hare: Dead Animal Hashers: Foxy Lady, Glyn, Triar Fuck, Numbskull, Loaper, Mustapha Kunt Virgins: Sharon, Andrea, Aviva.

Let me start by introducing myself, I am Sharon Low from the Barbados Hash. (Don`t feel sorry for me, Barbados isn`t that bad of a place!!). The Barbados Hash send their greetings and raises a bottle of Banks (beer) to your honour.

Its raining!! All those hot, humid hashes in Barbados that I prayed for a cool day and now finally in Montreal my prayers are answered. It was an eclectic group that gathered at the Brasserie at Park Ave an d Pine. They arrived by car, bike and Metro. I wasn`t sure if I was in the right place but, I saw a strange looking person in shorts and knew he had to be a hasher (all sane people wouldn`t come out in this rain).

ON ON we went down Park Ave. It was pouring rain and really cold. Where`s the flour? Oh there is some...no it's not...it's...it's, I don't know what it is! The first check sent us off in all directions. Where is the flour? A little help from the Hare and we weaved through an alley that lead us to McGill University.

Running so close to Mount Royal it was eneveitable that we would be going up. But thanks to the rain and a sympathetic Hare, we didn`t go quite to the top, and took a gradual climb through a field and up McGill Ave and back to Pine. It was all down hill from there but it was comforting to know that Victoria Hospital was there just in case.

By the time we got back the rain stopped. But we were a pack of drowned hounds. One way to fix that!! There is an ancient theory that the more alcohol consumed...the faster your clothes will dry. (we are still working on proving this and looking for volunteers).

Time to get serious. THE DOWN DOWNS. This was done differently than I was accostomed to in Barbados. It was a relief to know I would not have to take the sub-serviant role of kneeling in front of the RA. But I was still nervous for what was in store. Noone warned me I would have to sing!!!

All in all it was a good run and I thank the Montreal H3 for being welcoming and I look forward to hashing with you again in August. But next time PLEASE not so much rain!!!
